In this series of paintings I minimize realism and detail to create moving pieces through color and texture. Creating thick surfaces of paint and molding paste over the canvas, completing the paintings with spatulas, palette knives and finished with a stain wash. The unique texture of each piece lends an organic feel to these expressionist paintings.
01 – Peak Upward (1 of 2)

High up in the peaks of the mind or maybe Asia, comes this work of a mountainous landscape and fence dividing the observer and the subject of desire.
02 – Birch Bend Autumn (2 of 2)

A birch tree trunk in fall with setting sun in the clear crisp mountain sky.
